Dr Rebecca McNeill

Dr Rebecca McNeill is an experienced General Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience. She graduated from Manchester Medical School in 2004 and completed her GP training in Yorkshire, gaining Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) with distinction in 2008.

Rebecca has worked extensively in general practice caring for patients of all ages and with a broad range of acute and ongoing health concerns. She enjoys the breadth of general practice and takes a thorough, thoughtful and patient-centred approach, with particular emphasis on listening carefully to patients, understanding their concerns and involving them in decisions about their care.

Alongside conventional general practice, Rebecca has developed a particular interest in lifestyle and functional medicine. She has completed the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) programme and also works within a functional medicine practice. This has further developed her interest in understanding the wider factors that can influence health and chronic symptoms.

Where appropriate, Rebecca incorporates consideration of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress and metabolic health alongside conventional medical assessment and treatment. She particularly enjoys helping patients better understand their health and identifying practical, sustainable changes that can support their longer-term wellbeing.

Rebecca aims to provide a warm and unhurried environment in which patients feel listened to and able to discuss their concerns openly. She believes in looking at the individual as a whole, while providing safe, evidence-informed medical care tailored to each patient’s needs.
